Tell us a little about your little ones!

I am a boy-mama! I am the mama to one wildly active 3-year-old boy named Bodhi. Bodhi is full of energy, questions, conversations and we’re always on the go. Bodhi is an animal lover, so I’m always grabbing his little animals and tossing them in my diaper bag.

We LOVE to go on adventures all over our city. We’re expecting our second baby any day now. I can send more here once he arrives, but we will have two boys.

When you’re not being super mom, what are you up to?Kate 7-Piece Bag Set - Sand/Saddle by timi & leslie
I’m a writer at heart. I write for my two sites (Livethefancylife.com and ohboystyle.com) as well as Buy Modern Baby, Momtastic and several regional magazines in the Minneapolis area. I spend a lot of time planning my sons’ wardrobes and absolutely love boy fashion. As a travel-lover, I’m always planning my family’s next trip and getaway weekends with my sweet husband. Our most recent travels took us to Sri Lanka in January of this year while I was 20 weeks pregnant and our son was two and a half. It was an adventure for sure! We recently built our home in a fabulous neighborhood that has quickly become our forever home. Our neighborhood is wonderful and spending a Friday night on a neighbor’s patio or deck with a glass of wine, ice cream for the kiddos and watching them run around is the perfect evening for us.

What’s your favorite timi & leslie diaper bag?
It’s such a tough call but I LOVE Kate and Rachel! As a work-at-home mom (who sometimes has to meet clients), a casual diaper bag that is still chic and can also be used to run errands or meet friends for happy hour is perfect. Both of these bags are stylish Rachel 7-Piece Bag Set - Caramel by timi & leslieenough to be used as a handbag but have the timi&leslie goodness inside that makes them perfect diaper bags for busy moms.

What are 5 things in your bag that are mommy must-haves?

aden+anais bamboo swaddle blankets – Light enough for summer and always so soft, these are my go-to blanket for our babies. I love the sweet patterns and how light these are for my spring/summer baby boys.

Honest Company diapers – So cute, my diaper bag always has diapers for our newborn and wipes to clean up any messes for both of our little ones. I even use the wipes to clean our hands and faces when we’re out and about.

A change of clothes for our boys. Kids get messy and things happen so I always have extra clothes with. I love a sweet romper, and a hoodie for our newborn and swim trunks that can double as shorts plus a cute T-shirt for our 3-year old. That way we’re always prepared to swim or run through a sprinkler anytime anywhere.

Baby K’tan – Right now with a busy 3-year-old and a newborn, baby wearing really makes life easy. We love packing our Baby K’tan carrier as it’s light and easy on these hot summer days and works great for a newborn.

Lara bars for quick energy for myself and my 3-year-old plus a big bottle of water. I love that these have no added sugar and most are made of simply nuts and dates. Perfect snack! And our lifefactory water bottles are fabulous when we’re on the go.

Who is your mom style inspiration?
I don’t follow celebrities at all, but I LOVE following other mom bloggers. For laid back mom style, I follow Jordan Ferney from Oh Happy Day, Nicole Balch from Making it Lovely, Joanna Goddard from A Cup of Jo and a slew of beautiful and practical moms on Instagram. You can find a lot of style inspiration on Instagram and it’s usually very wearable fashion.

What’s your top tip for staying fashionable when juggling little ones?
Keep it simple, splurge on the important stuff, go cheap on the rest. For me, style is simple. I love a great pair of skinny jeans, a simple tank and a blazer with a cute pair of flats. It’s my go-to outfit and it’s timeless. Being chic doesn’t have to be complicated or overly trendy. I tend to splurge on a few really fabulous pairs of jeans and save on simple tanks by picking them up at Target or Nordstrom Rack for $9-$10. I’m addicted to Anthropologie’s Pilcro line of denim. And if you end up at a playground, you can just take that blazer off and you’re good to go chasing around your active 3-year-old.
